Description

PV201L (Solar Electric Lab) is a 5-day practical, hands-on training for grid-connected, solar photovoltaic technologies. In this course, students will spend 40-hours at an outdoor training facility located on the campus of the German University of Technology in Oman (GUtech), where Shams Global Solutions has built a live, grid-connected training area consisting of 3-different solar photovoltaic system setups and several training zones of nearly 18 kWp of solar photovoltaic systems, including a ground-mounted system, a pitched-roof system, a flat-roof system and an interface protection zone. All students will learn how to and will actively participate in reviewing the system components and design, handling the equipment on site, installing the solar panels in place, commissioning the system, using the appropriate tools to install, inspect and troubleshoot the systems. This course is a direct follow up to our mainly theoretical PV101 course, and that course is a pre-requisite for enrolling and taking PV201L.
